1. Talk to his friends more, even if I don’t like them, just so I can understand why he does.

2. Indulge in the things he likes, even if I don’t like them, just so I can understand why he does.

3. Be truthful, then follow it up by being diplomatic.

4. When I’m truthful (which should be 110% of the time), I shouldn’t be too pushy. Just because I think something, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s right or that anything has to happen about it.

5. Tell him when I’m uncomfortable before it festers. A joke may be a joke, but it can still sting. (Kind of coincides with the whole being truthful thing?) 

6. Don’t rely on him to make all my decisions.

7. Only creep on every other cute hipster boy that passes by me in the street, as opposed to every one. ;)

8. Mistakes are proof that I am trying.

9. Don’t be too harsh, but don’t sugar coat things either.

10. Just let him know him much he means to me whenever I can.
